  • Reduction in the prices of coronary stents.
    • The price cap for bare metal stents is Rs 7,260 and the price cap for a drug-eluting stent is Rs 29,600. 
  • India sanctioned USD 340 million to Nepal for development programmes.
  • The Momentum Jharkand Global Investors’ Summit 2017 was held for two days at Khelgaon, Ranchi. The summit was inaugurated by the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

  • RAHAT medical project launched in Rajasthan. A private hospital in Rajasthan has launched a new medical project to provide quick and effective treatment to patients suffering from heart attacks in the remote and rural areas of the state.
  • The 89th Academy Awards, popularly called Oscar Awards, were conferred on 26 February 2017 (27 February 2017 as per Indian time). The award ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted the awards ceremony.
  • Gopal Baglay appointed as new spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs(MEA).
